Excellent reference tool for Social Work/Health May 9, 2008 At first, I was very skeptical about the purchase. However, once I got the book I took the time to read through it and I was very pleased that I had actually purchased the book. The text provides very thorough and meanful definitions that are very understandable. I also use my text at school while doing some of my course work. This book has eased my life so much and I would recommend that everyone should acquire this book as a reference guide. The book offers so much information to help you through your day and with understanding the terminology which helps you make better accessments on your clients.
Pretty Much All the Information You Will Ever Need April 24, 2008 I bought this book to look up those terms that, since my formal education, I seem to have forgotten. On more than one occasion, it has allowed me to write more thorough and extensive progress notes. Also, it helped me study for my LICSW exam. I definitely recommend it.
Nitty Gritty March 23, 2008 Easy access to every social work term imaginable. It's been worth the cost to me in my beginning practice!
The Social Work Dictionary March 18, 2008 I was hoping it would have a little more information. It is good in a pinch but is missing some key elements of social work practice.
Social Work or any services professionals supplement December 7, 2007 Wonderful book that just increases understanding of those vague and unknown concepts. Great for the student and the professional.
