The book also offers much good general advice on parenting. The authors stress that deaf and hearing children are more alike than they are different.

This book is written from a personal perspective, the author has two hearing impaired children. We felt that the book offered a balanced and non-judgemental review of many issues facing the parents of a deaf child. The book offers helpful illustrations and very practical advice and reassurances.
