Product Description
Fully revised and updated for its Fourth Edition, Dr. Josephson's classic text provides a thorough understanding of the mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias and the therapeutic interventions used to treat arrhythmias. The book details the electrophysiologic methodology required to define the mechanism and site of origin of arrhythmias so that safe and effective therapy can be chosen. Close attention is given to the mechanisms, clinical implications, and limitations of current therapeutic interventions, including drugs, implantable devices, and catheter and surgical ablation. More than 1,100 illustrations clarify the concepts and techniques presented in the text. This edition has a new full-color design. A companion Website offers the fully searchable text with all illustrations (www.clinicalcardiacelectrophys.com).

EP textbooks September 7, 2008 Phenomenal book! Very easy to follow and the illustrated electrograms are of very good quality. This is an essential book for all EP fellows in training.
Not-such-a-great classic March 25, 2003 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
Josephson is regarded as one of the semi-classic EP textbooks, but on the evidence of this edition, this may not be justified. The text is verbose, turgid and hard to read, and the numerous electrograms are poorly reproduced, making them hard to read and interpret. In retrospect, I'm not sure that this book was worth purchasing. The publishers need to clean up the text and improve the quality of the electrograms to make this a worthwhile purchase.
