Product Description
The world's leading gynecologic surgery reference for 60 years, TeLinde's Operative Gynecology is now in its revised Tenth Edition. In this new edition, TeLinde's leads the field with bold initiative in its first attempt to synthesize the best way for surgical procedures. This classic text is rooted in the Johns Hopkins tradition of gynecologic surgery, but now includes 75 contributors, for a broader, more complete presentation of national and international practices. The book provides encyclopedic coverage of the etiology, diagnosis, and step-by-step surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases and disorders of the female pelvis. More than 1,600 illustrations demonstrate the surgical techniques.

The "Bible" for Gyn Surgery July 15, 2004 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
There are at least two texts that are considered "the authority" for internal medicine. The same for Obstetrics. For Gyn surgery there is only one, and this is it. Te Linde's is so far ahead of any competitors that all Gynecologists I know consider any other texts to be useful only as supplements to Te Linde's. It is also written in an easy to follow style - not as dry as many medical texts, and it is exhaustively complete. It would be worth the price (for a Gyn Surgeon) if only for the portions dealing with hysterectomy and surgical treatment of cystocele and stress urinary incontinence.
Excellent text-book for teaching gynecological surgery June 16, 1998 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Outstanding and most complete description of most important subjects in relation with the teaching of gynecological surgery, ideal for medical students and residents. Specially important, there is a chapter on ethics and gynecological surgery.
