Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A quotable classic   August 20, 2007
Norman Erber seems to me to be an unassuming man. He quietly goes about his work with deaf and hard of hearing people, now in Melbourne, Australia. Always thinking, always creating, often ahead of his time. This classic text was just like that. A thinking text, creative and ahead of its time in many ways. In my recent studies into deaf education, this text has been one of the most often quoted of all. Yes, it is dated, but some books are well worth re-visiting.
