Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This valuable reference is a cornerstone resource for clinicians working with the gamut of communication disorders. This new edition has a completely updated design, with the addition of a second color to highlight key content. The book has been updated to include two new chapters on foundation of assessment and multicultural issues in assessment to make this the most comprehensive resource manual on assessment in speech-language pathology. It continues to offer users a wide range of procedures and materials for obtaining and interpreting assessment data, and reporting assessment findings to clients, caregivers, and other professionals - all of which are directly applicable to clinical work and are useful instructional tools for students. To help the clinician and student access more specific disorder and assessment information, each chapter concludes with a section called Sources of Additional Information containing references and websites. This new edition comes with a free CD-ROM containing additional resources and the forms from the text in several formats for users to download, print and photocopy, and modify for individual clinical use.

5 out of 5 stars Every SLP Needs This!   May 15, 2008
I could not function without my "Speech Bible." Every once in a while when I need a quick refresher on certain topics, this book provides me with the information I need. I also like to use their forms when I do informal testing/observations of children.

5 out of 5 stars The best assessment resource ever ( A MUST )   March 25, 2008
This book is very usefull. It is highly recommended to buy. It inculdes assessment procedures for every common speech language disorders, milestones, and even assessment report samples.

4 out of 5 stars Great Book, Poor Quality   March 7, 2008
This book is a great resource for speech-language pathologists. The cover and pages are flimsy. The CD is very useful.

5 out of 5 stars Great Clinical Text   February 29, 2008
This is a very useful text for graduate coursework. I would highly recommend it. The CD with printable forms is extremely useful for when I get out into the field.

4 out of 5 stars Great Book!   November 8, 2007
I ordered this book when taking my pre-reqs before getting into the SLP program. It's a great book. It pretty much breaks down everything you are going to be needing. Coincidence is that I am going to be using it next semester for a class, so that's great...
The only thing that I didn't find in the book that I wish it had was direction on how to write goal and objectives. I just ordered a couple books that seemed to have themes dealing with that... so we'll see.
