Get This Book If You Are Considering Knee Replacement Surgery October 7, 2008 This book is a wonderful guide for anyone who is either considering knee replacement or has already had the surgery. Any questions and/or doubts that I had were answered clearly by this book. It is a must have for all going through this surgery.
A Must Read Before Surgery October 1, 2008 My husband read this book cover-to-cover prior to his knee replacement surgery. He did all the recommended exercises prior to surgery and his surgeon and physical therapist are amazed at his progress just weeks after his replacement. I am ordering more books so he can give them to his friends who are having similar surgeries.

Excellent book for general reference September 15, 2008 I bought this book for my mother when it became obvious she was going to eventually need knee replacement surgery. The comprehensive book gave my mother the information she needed to ask intelligent questions of her surgeon in their very brief appointments. She found the pre-operation strengthening exercises to be very helpful. The book was also handy after the surgery when she found some of the odd sensations she experienced during the course of her rehabilitation were normal and nothing to be alarmed about.
Total Knee Replacement and Rehabilitation: the Knee Owner's Manual August 24, 2008 Purchased for my father 2 days out of TKR. Now at 4 weeks out and progressing extremely well he states that the book is execellent and right on with what he has been experiencing. Wishes he would have read it prior to surgery to better prepare himself both mentally and physically. He has specifically repeated the physical preparation as the muscle recovery and the pain expectations he had are the biggest issues.
Per his recommendation this is an excellent book to properly prepare yourself.
Good for "before and after"! July 30, 2008 This book was purchased for my husband, following total knee replacement(of one leg, the other to follow....some day). He found the book to be very informative, and wished that he had read it before he had his initial surgery! It has also been helpful in his rehabilition, and highly recommends it.
