not worth the time and money August 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
surprised the book was thin and very short.quick read in less than 15 min.i liked the title however did not really get anything i didn't kinda already know. it did spark an intrest to pass it along to another, however not worth the time and money to buy and ship
Get the original instead July 13, 2008 I have Nonviolent Communication so this book was somewhat redundant for me. $6. for what is basically a glossy pamphlet with just the most basic of information seems like a waste of my money, AND if I'd had to pay shipping on it as well I would have felt even more ripped off. There are only 23 pages of actual information in this "booklet". This is something that should be available in a much less expensive format as a handout to parents in doctors' offices and social services where it could really make a difference to families. It is geared to people who can't or don't have the time to read much at all. It was about a 20 minute read, which might be right for people with a lot of kids, who also probably need this information the most. But, if you already have the original book, save your money.
Useless July 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a big fan of Marshal Rosenberg's philosophy; however, this pamphlet offers no practical advice for child rearing. It is a slim volume of lovely vingettes about his own family and an ideal of how we may all wish to relate with one another, but the path to achieving this is not explained. Rather useless if you are seeking a how to or some practical advice. Especially not relevant for parents of teenagers.
Parent need this June 2, 2008 This booklet is the real deal. If only parents would understand the principles presented here about having a mutually beneficial and respectful relationship with their children, I think families would generally be much closer than they are. I know mine would.
Fantastic Information that is easy to read November 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a real gem, I found it easy to read and to give a general overview for his main book. I feel this is doing my children a real service as it opens up my mind to new ways to relate to my children as real people. I love that this is so good for my kids. Thank you for writing this book.
