Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
The book that started the phenomenon is now available in a deluxe collector's edition! Featuring a ribbon bookmark, cloth cover, ragged edges, new chapter opener designs, and a beautiful protective slipcase, this edition is perfect for fans and collectors alike.

Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Product Description
About three things I was absolutely positive:
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him–and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be–that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

“I’D NEVER GIVEN MUCH THOUGHT TO HOW I WOULD DIE– I’d had reason enough in the last few months –but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this. . . . Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of something else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something.”
When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret.
What Bella doesn’t realize is the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risk. And, it might be too late to turn back. . . .
Deeply seductive and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight will have readers riveted right until the very last page is turned.

5 out of 5 stars Twilight   December 1, 2008
I loved this book and also the rest of the series. I am re-reading it now. The characters are very well written and are mostly endearing.

2 out of 5 stars So-So   December 1, 2008
It's not what I expected. I am a true vampire book reader and I found this book quite boring and hard to get through. After reading Christine Feehan, LA Banks, Laurel Hamilton and Anne Rice this book cannot even compare. Add to the fact that they are teenagers and there is no vampire erotica to look forward to because they are kids. I am struggling to get through this book andI don't see what all the hype is about. I can't see myself buying the next books in the series because this one is not holding my interest.

5 out of 5 stars Loved it!   December 1, 2008
This is such a fun and exciting tale. You will be hooked, so you better buy all 4 of them. The story is enticing. The characters are exciting. This is a great book and definatly worth the read.

5 out of 5 stars Twilight   December 1, 2008
A "can't put down" book - the characters draw you right in and get you involved. Great new version of the vampire myth!

1 out of 5 stars harlequin romance for teens   December 1, 2008
I rarely write reviews but this book is getting so much hype I had to add my two cents. Quite simply, this is romance novel fiction for teens. Nothing more or less. The hearthrob language, the utter willingness--outright longing--of the main character to give up everything for the hunky guy vampire. I actually don't want my 12-year old to read it because I think the female protagonist starts off promising (opinionated and strong) and just ends up totally lame (capitulating and stupid)! And the writing is bland, lacking the imaginative plot twists or character depth of the harry potter books. On my daughter's recommendation I just finished Wicked by Gregory Maquire, which by contrast is far more intelligent, fun, and provocative. If she gets sucked into this trilogy I'll know she's lowering her standards!
