| Customer Reviews:
A best practice resource for developmentally appropriate activities! January 14, 2008 This is an excellent resource for kindergarten teachers looking for ways to incorporate graphic organizers into the classroom and maximize learning. Unlike some K-2 books, this one gets it right in putting a strong focus on student drawing to illustrate ideas. The organizers help the students to sort information and demonstrate their learning. Many of the activities have reproducibles and involve hands-on learning and or games. The book is organized by content areas and can be used to meet specific learning standards. Some activities include: graphing, glyphs, science experiments, literacy-based activities, rebus and ideas for music and movement.
