Timeless Homilies, Cycle A - A Review August 22, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the third volume in what is presumably a three volume set of homilies tied to the liturgical cycle of readings for Sundays and holy days in the Roman Catholic Church. I waited anxiously for this volume to be published because the prior two volumes were so well written. My expectations were really satisfied when I received the Cycle A book and read through it. To use a baseball analogy, Deacon Bulson is "3 for 3" in terms of the quality and the applicability of these homilies to a listener's everyday life. I stand by my earlier comments related to the "B" and "C" cycle books in that these are great reference tools. In addition I would add that these are great volumes just for inspirational reading purposes if one does not want to use them as a resource. I congratulate Deacon Bulson on his three volumes and, if I may be so bold as to use a phrase from the Gospel, "Well done good and faithful servant."
