From the supplier: Teachers of the hearing-impaired in Florida discovered there is little instructional software for the hearing-impaired. Most of these students have a language deficit and do not perform well with software that has considerable text. The teachers need control over the text and substance of the courseware and are able to achieve it by using Tutor-Tech from Techware Corp. The Tutor-Tech package permits users to create HyperCard-like stacks on an Apple II computer that has a mouse. The program is visually oriented and permits the teach to customize language to what is appropriate for the class. A training program in 1989 taught teachers how to use Tutor-Tech. The programs developed from that training program have minimal text and provide quick feedback to the students. Tutor-Tech is considered a success.
