Product Description Throughout the U.S. and the rest of the world, the elderly population is exploding, with the highest growth rate in individuals over the age of 85. Among this group, hearing loss represtnts the third most prevalent chronic illness - one which threatens the independence and quality of life of the geriatric patient. This outstanding new book provides state-of-the-art information on the evaluation and management of hearing loss in the geriatric patient. Written by the foremost authority in the field, it provides audiologists and speech-language pathologists with the information they need to treat older adults for hearing loss, help them cope with its consequences, and ensure that it does not pose a threat to their independence. Based on Dr. Weinstein's more than 20 years of experience in the care and study of older adults, the book provides the theoretical and practical information audiologists and speech-language pathologists need. | Customer Reviews:
DO NOT buy from this vendor A-1 Books! July 3, 2008 This vendor A1 Books has a scam associted with "Reservation Rewards". They automatically sign you up for a $12 per month ripoff. I have had this same company - Reservation Rewards - rip off my daughter in the same way. She was not looking at her credit card statetments and they had 13 months worth of $12 monthly charges before I caught it. I am hoping for a class action suit against this company.
