Product Description Paper doll artist Tom Tierney turns his attention to his home state, dishing up a dose of history along with his fashionably accurate dolls. Texas is loaded with women who've achieved stardom, including Mary Martin, Ann Sheridan, Jayne Mansfield, Carol Burnett, Renee Zellweger, Salina, and Beyonce Knowles, as well as powerhouse politicoes, including Ima Hogg, "Ma" Ferguson, Ann Richards, and Barbara Jordan. In all, eleven Texas women are rerpresented in full color, each with three carefully researched costumes.

Wonderful Paper Doll Set September 7, 2008 This papaper doll set is not only very pretty, but educational as well. I am using this set in my homeschooling in History. It is a wonderful set, and I'm very pleased with the purchase. Thank you; Amanda Davis
Famous Texas Women:Paper Dolls September 6, 2008 This is a great set of paper dolls. I am always impressed with Tom Tierney's drawings as well as all of the research he puts into his books. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone looking for information on Texas women and of course paper dolls.
This one is a keeper....but not for usual reasons! May 29, 2008 I consider all Tierney paper dolls books as collectible items rather than something that will actually get cut up and used for play. This one, Famous Texas Women, has at least one glaring error: it gives dates for Jayne Mansfield as 1933-1957 (which would make her only 24 when she died)! She actually died in June of 1967. I bought the book to give as a gift; now, I may have to keep it for myself!
