Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Massie Block is happily ruling her fabulous clique at her exclusive Westchester middle school when LBR (Loser Beyond Repair) Claire Lyons, the new girl, has the nerve to show up at OCD wearing Keds and two-year old GAP overalls. She is clearly not Pretty Committee material, and Massie, Alicia, Dylan and Kirsten have no problem letting everyone know it. Unfortunately Claire's family is staying in the guesthouse on Massies familys huge estate while they look for a new home, and the girls are stuck with each other. Claire's future looks worse than a bad Prada knockoff. But with a little luck and a lot of scheming, Claire might just come up smelling like Chanel Mademoiselle....

5 out of 5 stars The Clique... I absolutely loved this book.   December 29, 2008
The Clique actually made me think about how I live my life as a 7th grader, starting in a brand new school. Lisi seemed to be living inside a middle school, since she was able to give out problems a teenage girl might be going through in her middle school days. I gave this book, The Clique, 5 stars.

4 out of 5 stars teen drama   December 21, 2008
engaging, realistic, in a fun and entertaining way, hits teen angst and drama, with a humor and subreal plot

1 out of 5 stars I felt ashamed of myself for reading this...   December 9, 2008
All my friends had been talking about how great these books were, so I was really anxious to start the first one. I am a fifteen year old girl, so I am in the age group for this book, and I was appalled at some of the content. There was some mild foul language in it, the girls have all the wrong kind of morals, and the plot is completely ludicrous! I cannot believe that parents let their daughters read this! It teaches girls that the only way to be accepted is to wear designer clothes and be promiscuous with much older boys at TWELVE YEARS OLD! I go to a private school, am a cheerleader, have an older boyfriend, and considers myself pretty popular...and I do not partake in any of the activities that these girls do. It is a pile of crap and I am so ashamed for even reading it. Don't waste your money.

im 12 years od amd i think this book is a must read.i loved it. it really seems like a real middle school life and is just like the experiences i have had as a 6 grader and now that im a 7 grader it still seems real.young girls must read this.some parents may not want their kids to read this for the following reasons
1.language
2attitude
3.the way they act

hopefully they wont rub off on your kids
