5 out of 5 stars Signs for me: Basic Sign Vocabulary for Children, Parents, & Teachers   September 9, 2008
Signs for Me: Basic Sign Vocabulary for Children, Parents & Teachers
After I bought one volume of this text for myself and showed it around, all my adult children (especially my special education teacher-daughter) wanted one! It is an outstanding text for those who find themselves in a responsible position with a deaf child and don't know how to communicate.

5 out of 5 stars Great book for beginners!   February 22, 2008
I purchased this book after my son's speech teacher sent home the school's copy for our family to use with our son, who is autistic.

The illustrations in this book are very clear in showing the basic sign vocabulary, using little arrows that clearly demonstrate direction and motion of many sign vocabulary words.

I would recommend this book for families who are just learning to communicate with their autistic child. The book is very simple and easy to understand and use.

4 out of 5 stars Nice sign language book for kids   December 19, 2007
The book is easy to follow and the illustrations very attractive to kids, so they are eager to read and learn. It has the look of a coloring book, which kids love, also. The signs are for the most part accepted ASL signs. It has been very handy (have used to teach 3 children sign language).

5 out of 5 stars Signs for me   September 24, 2007
I bought this bool to increase my ASL vocabulary to use with my hard of hearing children and it has disapeared! One of my children liked it so much he took it to school to use to teach his main stream teacher.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Buy!   March 8, 2007
Other books I have tried were very difficult to understand. But this book made it easy for me to learn simple signs and relay them to my preschoolers.
