5 out of 5 stars Great for learners of the Japanese language   July 22, 2008

I am learning Japanese and am constantly on the lookout for materials that help me accomplish this goal.

This book will not be all things to all people, but if you want a good, general reference/study book, I think this fits the bill.

The information is presented in a clear format. The only area I think beginners will have trouble with, is that the information is presented in Kanji, Romaji, and then English. So if you are not comfortable with the Hiragana and Katakana, you may have some difficulty.

Overall, I think it is a well laid out reference tool. Answers to the exercises are included at the back of the book with the appendices.
