4 out of 5 stars What a fun book!   July 7, 2008

This is a great book for anyone who is spend thrifty and has a bend toward hand-crafted projects. I think it is an especially fabulous find for the parent of any pre-teen or teenage girl who enjoys homemade projects. I personally modified a number of the projects to fit with what I had available, but they have all turned out great and required only low-cost tools and supplies.

5 out of 5 stars One of my favorites!   May 28, 2008

I absolutely love this book! I don't know how ANYONE could have given it one star, or even two! Everything in here is completly affordable, and not only that, but there is nothing in here that LOOKS like it was made with cheaply made items! Everything is beautiful in here and creative as well. Mark is an awesome decorator and designer and has a creative imagination. I wish I had come up with some of the things he did! I am tired of having to spend a fortune on items to make pretty, cute crafts, and this book was my savior! SO many things in here to make and almost all of them easy and quick to do. I will never get rid of this book, and i would reccommend it to ANYONE.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of this book, but it left me a bit disappointed. Out of 101 ideas, I only found four or five that I might want to try, which also may just be my personal taste. A couple things bothered me about the book. Some of the stuff just looked cheap and icky. Also, some of the ideas were repeated over and OVER throughout the book but on different items, like a tray a lamp a box, etc. It's all really the same idea, so why does it count for more than one? Just something that disappointed me.

5 out of 5 stars 4 weeks of waiting......   October 9, 2005

no one is probably more stoked about this book coming out than me! i ordered this book for my sister's birthday and after i got to see it, i had to order one for myself. i did the advance purchase thing so i had to wait for 4 weeks, but other than that, the wait was totally worth it!

my sister is 13 and reads cosmogirl every month and this guy mark evidently has a column in it about making over a girls room. that is how i heard about him. the things that he created in this book are way creative. i never would have thought of them. i made my mom a rug purse already! it is scary to think that someone like Target is going to steal these ideas. at least we get to keep them original to our own style.thanks for the inspirational ideas!!
