The writing style is crisp and easy to understand:
Many people think of being pure as an action--something they must do--rather than... something they can be.
For time-sensitive people, this is a wonderful devotional tool. Using the book as intended, devotions take less than five minutes a day. Each day is divided into three sections: Reflection, where the topic is introduced; Looking Further, where a deeper study enriches; and Living It Out, where a challenge is given. A myriad of topic include perfectionism, body image, her fifteen years in Christian music, and insecurity.
I heartily recommend this to all ages who would like to be pure for Christ in mind, body, and spirit.

Rebecca St. James has earned her stripes as a Christian "cultural warrior" whose young voice has spearheaded a positive move towards spiritual values for her generation and beyond. "Pure" presents a complete personal lifestyle-approaching purity of spirit, mind, and body in a refreshingly honest and deeply moving format that deals with real life issues. Rebecca takes her readers on an intimate day-to-day walk--presented in her own voice with personal insights on her own challenges and victories. She ultimately offers readers real wisdom and encouragement in living a lifestyle that's both counter cultural and totally exhilarating in its' freshness of purpose. On the 90 journey,Rebecca tunes into the dynamics of today's culture with a challenge to join her--a challenge backed by solid biblical principals and very thought provoking "looking futher" and "living it out" sections with each devotional that make this book perfect for group bible study and discussion. I would recommend for teens, 20's and beyond. Bravo!"

This 90-day devotional is truly an inspiring book for any teen to read to build and strengthen a relationship and understanding with God.
Each day consists of a verse from the Bible, a reflection about an experience the author had that relates to the verse, a "looking further" segment about how to achieve better peace of mind, spirit, etc. and then finally a "living it out" part where the author gives tips on how to live out the day's lesson to better your life.
Rebecca St. James writes a very helpful book that any teen can appreciate. This inspiring and thought-provoking devotional is sure to please Christian readers.

"Pure" by Rebecca St. James is a 90-day devotional that is designed to minister to the body, mind and Spirit. This amazing book challenges you with powerful scripture and suggestions for living the Word of God. The author's personal reflections inspire and drive home the point of the daily reading. The "Looking Further" section gives the reader a deeper understanding of each day's topic. This is a must read for young and old. The book has touched me from day one. I will re-read this book for sure.
