Product Description
From the moment Hannah Sanders arrived in town, she felt there was something wrong. A lot of houses were for sale, and the town seemed infected by an unearthly quiet. And then, on Hannah’s first day of classes, she ran into a group of cheerleaders—the most popular girls in school. The odd thing was that they were nearly identical in appearance: blonde, beautiful, and deathly pale. But Hannah wants desperately to fit in—regardless of what her friend Lukas is telling her: if she doesn’t watch her back, she’s going to be blonde and popular and dead—just like all the other zombies in this town. . . .

A Disappointing Ending. January 8, 2009 This could have been a really great book, but the ending ruined it for me. I was on the edge of my seat, expecting this great, gory, zombie vs. human showdown and then...nothing. The author dropped the ball. It's like he put all of his energy in to the chapters leading up to the climax and then got tired of writing and decided to hurry up and get it over with. I also didn't like how the last page leaves you hanging. It makes me wonder; is there going to be a sequel or is the author just trying to be ominous?

Zombie Blondes has an original concept but it fell short. The expectations I had were very high for this book. With the new zombie book boom I was expecting a great zombie story. Instead I got this. Hannah was a boring, bland character. You couldn't relate to her. The only thing that made her interesting was the fact that she went to school with zombies. Her friend Lukas was much more interesting.Hannah was very clueless even though all the proof was staring at her in the face. She didn't believe that zombies existed until it was almost too late.More than half the story was spent on her not believing that zombies were real and Lukas trying to convince her. As the story progressed it picked up a little bit and became a bit more interesting. The end was disappointing. If there will be a sequel then the ending was good but if it's just a stand alone book the ending was really bad. -Carol www.bookluver-carol.blogspot.com
Zombified Cheerleaders July 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Zombie Blondes was a very quick and interesting read. The story was the age old new girl moves to town, popular cheerleaders don't like her... then a guy tells her they're zombies. Alright a little off the well beaten path but still a little predictable.
Hannah's father was a snitch on a fellow cop and has been on the run since she was very little. This means she gets to be the new girl every few months to a year. This time her father takes her to a small town that has identical, blonde, blue-eyed cheerleaders whose names all start with 'M'.
As if that wasn't bad enough the entire town seems to listen to the head cheerleader and people routinely vanish with out anyone becoming suspicious. Hannah begins to accept her fate as the unpopular new girl again when she gets asked to try out on the cheerleading team.
From there it gets bad to worse...
The plot is a little predictable and the character of Hannah is painfully ordinary, but the twists are what keep the book afloat. The ending also leaves the reader on a cliff hanger so you're left with the hope that there's a sequel. All around a solid 3 stars for interesting developments and the imaginative 'M' names.
