Amazon.com As you've probably heard before, an unexamined life... may be pretty darn boring. You can remedy that with All About Me, a journal filled with checklists and fill-in-the-blank questions divided into 25 categories, including sexuality, ego, wishes & dreams, opinions, emotions, memories, and choices. What authors have affected you? Do you believe in God? What film can you watch over and over? Ever had sex on an airplane? Do you want to be buried or cremated? All About Me can serve as a fine tool for improving your self-knowledge; it's also been used by couples who want to get to know each other better, and would make great fodder for getting a party going (especially the question, "Does a photo of you naked exist?"). If you're interested in self-actualization or improving your relationships, you'll find the book fascinating, while anyone just looking for a fun way to spend a rainy day or make a long trip go by faster will be rewarded, too.
Product Description Is there someone special you'd like to open up to? Do you want to know yourself better? Self-discovery and self-revelation aren't easy. With simple but provocative questions, All About Me is a great tool for self-reflection that spotlights everything your loved ones would be interested to know about you but never thought--or dared--to ask. Such as: Name a friend you should not have kissed. Describe a moment when you achieved absolute happiness. Recall a compliment that made you blush. Write about your most beautiful and your most horrifying memory of your parents. Does a naked photo of you exist?
The wide-ranging questions--from short yes/no's to open-ended ones that probe your psyche--are personal, direct, and addictively fun to answer. The basic specs, including blood type and annual salary, are also covered.
If you've ever wished that you or your loved ones had been born with an operating manual, your wish has been granted. Filled in or left blank, All About Me is a perfect gift for everyone you care about--friends, relatives, mentors, and lovers. Published just in time for Valentine's Day, but also ideal for Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, birthdays, showers, and weddings, this unique book gives the best present of all: the gift of you.

Getting Acquainted August 25, 2008 Hey, if you have some time and you're looking for a fun little personal project... one that will help you to (dare I say) think about your own thinking, this is a good start. It's short. It's theme driven and it's definitely to the point. In fact, many questions seem easy and superficial at first, but as you ponder them, you dive deeper within yourself. Thinking beyond the question will lead you into self discovery. Sure, there's only room to write a few lines here and there (which is why I rated it a 4) but that's really all it takes to "answer" the question. Many of the sections can be used as a jump start or as an outline for longer journaling, such as those involving family, friends, memories, wishes and dreams. Honestly. You'll be asked questions you may have never stopped to ask yourself. Searching for an answer will lead you into deeper self discovery AND help you to extend personal knowledge that will broaden your communication base later. About 10 years ago, a "friend" saw this book on my desk. We discussed a couple of sections, and our answers spawned conversation that lasted hours. Not more than three weeks later, I received the same All About Me book in the mail. It was his, written for me (about him-or- the person he use to be). An attached yellow post it read, "M- 20 years from now, I'd like to do this jointly - closing with the thought... 'And they lived happily ever after." I have it to this very day, and it's still pretty cool! Try the book. It's a morsel of a treat.
It's ok June 28, 2008 The book is ok. I thought it would be bigger and that it would ask really in-depth questions. Don't get me wrong, some questions may be a little personal, but overall, it's not what I expected. I'm only half way through, so hopefully I change my mind by the time I reach the end.
Tears & a HUGE knot in my throat March 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found this book in the bookstore and I thought it was quite interesting. I spent 15 minutes writing and I had to stop because I would cry, I would laugh, I would cry some more. I'm crying now writing this review. It's amazing and I suggest EVERYONE get this book to learn a little bit more about themselves. Every friend of mine will be getting this book as a gift. Thanks to Philip Keel for helping me learn 'All About Me'.
Bad Idea for Couples!!! January 11, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's great to be in touch with your partner... and be honest and loving... but don't do it through this book. It ask way too many questions about too many personal things... then again, it did help me find the red flags in my relationship, lol. Good, clean, harmless fun for close friends though!
Fun Little Book January 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this book thinking I would document myself for prosperity. Well, it has been fun to fill out, but there are some questions I just didn't feel comfortable with, such as who I would kill or sexual fantasies. Personally, I will just tear out those pages and continue on, but if you don't want to leave them blank or tear them out, you may prefer another book. As some others noted, there isn't much room to answer some questions, and there is little room to add personal touches such as photos. But if you're just looking to rekindle old memories, this is fun.
