Exactly what I was looking for September 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved the 3E of this pocketbook, but it hadn't been updated for the new ACLS so I stopped using it.
Now that the update is out, I've come back to using this book every day. A previous reviewer noted that the index is not as good as maybe it could have been, but I find it easier (in this case) to use the TOC as the starting point anyway.

Everyone HAS to have one of these in thier pocket in the ER. The abtibiotic section is so helpful.
A Wonderful companion July 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is amazing how such a small book could contain such a collection of vital and important information that you might need while practicing in the shift. The classifications presented in this pocket book of the different scales, criterias, and classes of diseases is absolutely great. Very concise and to the point , which is exactly what you need when faced with a case in the ED right there, and right then. It collects for you the criteria that will help you score the severity of your patient relieving you from having to memorize endless information that may not be needed on a day to day basis. I cannot imagine my shift without this book. A definate five star item
Hard to reference January 11, 2007 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Although full of usefull info; it is Very hard to find that info when you need it most. I am an ER PA and would find this pocket reference more useful if it had a better index. As of Jan 2007 I would recommend PEPID ER suite over the Tarascons for those that are handier with PDA's.
A very good pocket reference June 27, 2003 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
A very handy pocket reference book for cheap! As good as most Palm programs, but it costs much less. Good for the EM Resident/Attending.
