Product Description Kevin Leman wants you to know that men are less complicated than you give them credit for. At the core of men, you'll find a sensitive, emotional being that needs to feel loved, respected and needed. Men are very protective of their core. It's this protective behavior that keeps men from openly sharing their feelings with women. But, Kevin Leman knows that the more you understand and are sensitive to the fears, anxieties, and insecurities that make the men in your life behave the way they do, the stronger your relationships will be.

Relationship book May 25, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a very good book, although it pretty much tells you what you already know - men want sex and they are all little boys at heart. Although this does tell you how to say things so that men hear music instead of nagging. Very helpful.
For MEN too! May 15, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm not sure who enjoyed this more, or who laughed more - my husband or me! Definitely something to listen to together because he will SO agree with the author and my husband appreciated that I was interested in how his mind works. I highly recommend for couples in any and every stage of marriage - from unhappy to delirious, from newlywed to long-timers.
not helpful March 13, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I agree with the reviewer who said this same material is covered better in the book "For Women Only". I found that book to be much clearer and presented better without making vague generalizations about men. Also, I found Dr. Leaman's book would lump all men together and assume they were married and not struggling with fidelity, addictions or anger issues. However, I'v enjoyed his other book "Sheet Music".
It's okay February 18, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Many of the other reviews were quite positive for this book. While I have enjoyed parts of it, overall I have felt like the book was just okay. The author makes men seem quite immature, which I don't think is exactly true. :) For this type of book, I preferred the book For Women Only. That author also wrote For Men Only, so that one can see both sides to the situation. In 7 Things it seems like he doesn't even acknowledge the other side of the relationship, which is important and could be addressed at least in another book. Also, there are parts of this book that seem more aimed at men as opposed to the women reading. If you don't read much, then I wouldn't recommend this book.
Things you HAVE to know February 12, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was a terrific book. Not having a brother or father around, reading this book truly helped me in my relationships with ALL of the men in my life, not just romantic interests. A must buy for all women who want to have a happier marriage!
