The information is pretty current and has the ability to how to deal with patients with different issues and I highly recommmend this book to anyone.
Women's Gynecologic Health November 2, 2007 This is truly a women's oriented text, written from a feminist's perspective. The writing is fresh, interesting and always attentive to cultural competency and sexual orientation.
Good basic text but not enough depth January 3, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I found this text has good basic information for students at an undergraduate and lay persons. It's 2006 release date insures it's resources and sources are up-to-date. The information is culturally sensative and addresses gynacological care for women with a range of sexual orientations. However, this text's major disadvantage is it's lack of detailed and color pictures and illustrations. It does have good charts that organise information. I also find this text is too basic a reference for graduate level students entering health sciences such as Women's Health Nurse Practitioners.
An excellent resource for WHNP's. November 5, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great resource for WHNP's. I like the way the chapters are presented: a breakdown of the diagnoses, s/sx, management, etc.
