Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Good for extra questions only   July 24, 2008
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R31NRQ57KHOPSD This book is good for additional practice questions.
However I was not satisfied with the explanations
given for test taking strategies. Two books I would
recommend to improve test scores are: Don't Like to Read, Then Don't, Listen!: How to Turn Any Type of Text Into Audio Files That Can Be Read to You!. The more content
(and the faster you can get through this content)
you can be exposed to the faster you will pick up on
things. I am using some of the software I learned about
in Don't Like to Read, Then Don't, Listen, to have this
content read. The second book I recommend is The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage, which lays out a program so one can
have optimal brain health and optimal brain functioning.

1 out of 5 stars WAY TOO MANY TYPOS AND INCORRECT QUESTIONS!!!!!   June 27, 2008
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

The book and the CD that comes with it both have a distracting number of simple typos. Additionally, there were a few practice questions for which the answer that was given in the "Answers & Explanations" section was actually NOT the correct answer. (I know this because I called Kaplan, and they got back to me apologizing and saying that yes, they had, in fact, made a mistake.) There is nothing worse when studying for something as tough as the MCAT to begin to doubt the study source you're using. I've liked other prep companies MUCH better than Kaplan...

Good luck!

5 out of 5 stars Great Review Book and CD!   June 18, 2008

Book has extensive review of all the subject areas which are both concise and thorough. Easy way to separate study time and what topics you want to cover for the day (ie: chapters 5 and 6 on Monday for Biology, chapters 7 and 8 on Tuesday for Physics, etc.). CD is also very nice with its own Diagnostic test to give you an idea of what you need to cover. I would recommend getting another book with more review questions however since the practice tests that come with the program encompass the entire subjects and not just certain areas you may get to covering. Also, may be good to supplement the book with other background/informative books if you are having trouble understanding some concepts. Nonetheless, I say this bok is a great buy and highly recommended.
