Product Description
Tired of oversleeping? Do you have a hard time hearing your alarm? Does your kid never wake up in time for school? Then you will love (or at least learn to appreciate) our new Sonic Boom! alarm clock. This fail-safe wake-up device features your choice of a pulsating buzzer alarm — with adjustable volume and tone — or a powerful vibrating disc that slips under the pillow...or both! Now, even the deepest sleepers — or those who find it difficult to hear high-pitched or low-volume tones — will be sure to not oversleep.

The lighted display features large, easy-to-read two-inch digits with adjustable brightness. The buzzer has a nine-minute snooze function. Clock measures 9" x 2" x 5". Plugs into standard outlet with included AC adapter. Vibration disc connects to clock with 6-foot cord. Settings are backed up by a 9V battery (order separately). 90-day warranty.

1 out of 5 stars Lousy product reliability   September 6, 2006

We've had this alarm clock for 6 months and it suddenly stopped working. I took it back to Sharper Image and was told it was sub-standard and that's why they don't have it anymore. They offered me a $40 credit to buy thier new updated one for $99! Why would I throw good money after bad!! Not only do I not recomend this alarm clock I further warn against purchasing anything from Sharper Image. This isn't the first time they have burned us with lousy products.

3 out of 5 stars Don't buy it you need something that won't wake your partner   May 17, 2006

I bought this alarm because I wanted to be woken up in the middle of the night without disturbing my partner. In other words I was interested in the vibrating feature.
The alarm is loud as said when you use the sound, but even if you only use the vibrating disk which is pretty ennoying (and even between pillows.) It doesn't only shakes me, it always wakes up my partner every single time I use it...

4 out of 5 stars Amazing Clock   December 24, 2005

I bought this clock because I was going to be working grave shifts and sleep during the day, and I needed something that would wake me up with earplugs in. The vibrating disk goes inside my bottom pillowcase (I use 2 pillows) and has never fallen out. This clock actually makes me get up the first time it goes off (much to the pleasure of my wife). I agree with the other reviews... The clock feels unstable because of its small base, but I quickly learned how to hold it to turn it off. As far as a reset, when I get up I turn the alarm to off and then right back on again, that way I won't forget. I highly recommend this clock!

3 out of 5 stars Vibrating alarm clock   September 20, 2005

If you sleep in a high noise environment, or have trouble hearing, then this alarm is a great solution. I would rate it a 5/5 stars for that purpose. I would, however, give it a 1/5 star rating for its form, function and quality. It does the bare minimum of its intent, but it is styled and built so cheaply that I am in near constant fear of knocking it over and breaking it, especially as the snooze button is at the unsteady top of the thing. It is too unstable for a half-asleep person to turn off. Additionally, it has no automatic reset function (that I have found at any rate). If you want to turn the alarm off, then you must turn the switch to off. If, as most people do, you want it to wake you up at the same time again the next morning, then you must turn it on again. To keep from knocking the blasted thing over while doing this requires both hands. Every other electronic alarm I have ever used has a reset button to perform this important task.
